Before Applying Rule of Thirds
Houston, we have a Problem, although we are in the middle, the rules of third isn't applied. In fact, if on the 3x3 chart, we would be right in the middle.
After Applying Rule of Thirds
You can see that the composition of the image improved. We have now created "breathing space" and gave the image an enviorment feel simply by setting it off to one side rather than down the center.
After Applying Rules of Third
Since I wanted to stick to the area that shows background, the best way to section the image was to create a focus point around my face and have the vertical line to the left come along inbetween our body length.

09/07/16- Portraits with Composition and Design Quality
09/08/16- Symmetrical * Asymmetrical * Radial Balance

This image portrays a mirror image. If I were to fold this image in half, it would be a reflection of one another.

Rule of Thirds is actually based on the ancient Greek ideal of Golden Mean.

This image creates a circular style of composition. This occurs when objects radiate from a central point in an image, like the center structure of the ceiling rails.

Likewise, this image has symmetry as it is a mirror image of each other if you split the image down the middle axis.

This image still looks balanced, but objects are not centered in the frame. By applying the Rule of Thirds you can create an asymmetrical balanced image.

The colors in this image create a circular style of composition. It has color, form, design and meets the radial balance features.

Example: The purpose of this image was to create a Digital Photogram Design. In order to that, I used Photoshop CS6, I first applied the chalk & charcoal filter, I went to my adjustments and set it to black/white and changed the property colors to darken up and pull out the red and blue that USED to show in the previous image.Under levels, I darkened image to .73. 09/16/16 - Basic Aesthetics in Photography

The viewer’s eye is automatically led by lines and other geometrical figures. Leading lines help to put an emphasis on the subject, making them the center of attention. If the natural eye movement can follow these lines and ends up on the subject, it gives a very harmonic impression. Conversely, fighting against this flow can be very stressful.

Slightly different than the golden ratio, the rule of thirds is an approximation and divides the image in three areas. It is often more pleasing to place the subject slightly off-center. This is not only meant in a horizontal aspect, meaning from left to right, but also in the vertical gradient from bottom to top. This leaves us with four intersections (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right) where we want to place our subject “ideally.” In Street Photography, using the top coordinates a

Geometrical symbols help to control the flow of the picture. They build a basic framework for the viewer to follow, and create some dynamic movement because symbols like triangles or circles aren’t a dead end.

The picture above already shows an example of three subjects that form a triangle. But it’s not only three subjects that are pleasant for a viewer - 5 or even 7 points of interest can increase the aesthetic value of the image tremendously. The psychology behind this odd rule is that even subjects are easy to organize, easy to pair (2,4,6 etc.), and this is an uninteresting task for our brain.

Having a symmetrical picture is a nice achievement, but a picture that is 100% symmetrical is too easy to comprehend. In order to make it more interestingly, you can simply use a subject very slightly off the sectional plane.
Please use this type of Gallery,
it is easy to see your Aesthetic title and description.

10/05/16 - My Name - Alphabet Photography
10/06/16 - Real World Photography Projects

This is an image of a caution traffic sign for cars not to go through. However, the side of the sign creates the letter A of my name. It is interesting to see structures, designs, clouds, nature etc. that portray letters of the alphabet.
This is an image of the old side of a playground. The swing set is no longer in use but the side that used to hold up the swing set now create the letter A in my name.
This is an image of Nature where you find trees in a park, the tree growing side ways creates the letter N in my name.

10/10/2016 - Digital Color Correcting
![]() The purpose of this image is to Colorize it by applying Digital Color Correcting on Photoshop. | ![]() This image used to be black&white. Realistic colors were added to the sky, grass, uniform, hair and skin tone. Details such as the metal and patches can also be edited. |

11/03/2016 - Aperture Priority
10/24/2016 - Education & Career PowerPoint
This image was taken at an Aperture measurement of f/3.5 you can notice that the depth of field is fuzzy since the clock, wall decor and sofa details appear quite blurry. However, the subject (Pillow Buttons) are still in focus.
This image was taken at an f/8.0 aperture measurement, you can now see a clearer depth of field since you can see less blurriness from the clock, wall decor and sofa items. Also, the subject (Pillow Buttons) are still in focus.
This image was taken at an f/29 aperture measurement, you can now see a much Detailed and even clearer depth of field from the clock, wall decor and sofa items. You can now see the item laying on the couch is actually a throw and the center pice of the table is a flower vase as well as the details on the painting. Pillow Buttons, still in focus.

11/07/2016 - Shutter Speed Prioity

This image of the ceiling fan was capture using a shutter speed of 1/4000th of a sec. you can see less exposure and the ceiling fan appears Still although it was on at as high speed. This is because the smaller the Shutter Speed the darker the image and also freeze motion.
This image of the ceiling fan was capture using a shutter speed of 1/800th of a sec. you can see more exposure at a faster shutter speed however it still looks still or in "frozen motion".
This image of the ceiling fan was capture using a shutter speed of 1/125th of a sec. I really really like how motion is captured in this image. You can see good amount of light and at the same time notice that the ceiling fan was actually spinning.
This image of the ceiling fan was capture using a shutter speed of 1/60th of a sec. In this image you can see the motion a bit blurry but enough to capture Speed in it, this image is cool because compared to the previous setting, you can actually get a feel for how fast it may have been spinning.
This image of the ceiling fan was capture using a shutter speed of 1/8th of a sec. In this image the speed of the fan may not be detailed but you an notice a radius motion it created from how fast it was spinning. Interesting how a Setting on a camera can change the feel for an image.

11/17/16 - Relationship Between Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO
Aperture: F/11
Shutter Speed: 1/250th of a second
ISO - 100
This image was captured at the San Diego Harbor around 12:30 pm on a Saturday morning in November.
You can notice the sky was clear of clouds, giving me the opportunity to capture this image using natural light. The aperture at f/11 aloud me to get a clear depth of field (you can see the palm trees and notice the structures behind them). The Shutter speed at 1/125th of a second aloud me to capture the motion of the water and freeze movement enough to appreciate patterns, form and details as water came out. The ISO was only at 100 due to the bright natural light.
